Challenge: Shop leads were using a manually updated whiteboard to track active repair orders. It was difficult to read, time consuming to maintain, and quickly became outdated as technicians changed jobs or promise dates were updated.
Solution: Developed a self-updating dashboard that got live data directly from the company’s MRP database. Displayed on a large screen in the shop, it showed active repair orders, idle jobs, technician assignments, logged labor hours, quoted hours, promise dates, and customer information.
Result: The dashboard replaced the manual whiteboard with a live view of shop activity. Leads could quickly see which jobs were on track, which were at risk, who was working where, and where additional help might be needed.
